I had one just like this in the fifties...

even way back then, I loved my shiny objects.

National Yo-Yo Day was established as June 6th in honor of the birthday of Donald F. Duncan Sr.  Some folks celebrate today (why I don't know.)

Happening Now:

The Triple Crown of YoYo

SAN FRAN: May 13 & 14 --- BOSTON: June 10 & 11 --- CHICAGO: July 15 &16

This kid is a bit beyond "walking the dog" or "rocking the baby"  --------  waaaaaaaaaaaay beyond!

I still love shiny objects!

Alas, I could never accomplish much with a yo-yo.

Mastered "walking the dog", "rocking the baby", and "around the world" at the age of ten in 1949. Tried to do these tricks with a grandson's yoyo some years ago but I'd lost the touch.

I'm surprised o didn't usurp this holiday too! He does qualify as a yo-yo, that's for sure.
