Hey Yahoo - since when is the Daily Beast considered news?

The first thing I saw on Yahoo this morning listed under "news" was:  Glenn Beck's Toxic Legacy written by Howard Kurtz of the Daily Beast (no link on purpose.)  Just exactly how can an opinion piece, which was far more toxic than anything Glenn Beck ever said or did, be considered "news."

While the majority of comments support Glenn Beck, the one that really jumped out at me was:
He's definitely a descendent of one of the many pig farmers the English sent to the States when convicted of crime/s, usually petty theft and beastality. He shoud go on 'Who do you think you are' it would be confirmed I'm sure. He looks a lot like Gringrich, Limburgh and some of the other fat- faced men in Congress who resemble pigs, I'm sure they are all related.
How's that for toxic?

Yahoo is the worst, even more liberal news slant than Google

When someone is out of ammunition in their intelectual arsenal, there is always name calling.

Yeah, I don't spend much time on Yahoo anymore -- even for e-mail. The bias on the site is just too overt. Which is a shame -- I have used Yahoo since I got my first e-mail account back in the mid-late 1990's.
