This time of year I always wonder what motivated my ancestors, after having traveled across an entire ocean to start a new life, to choose to settle where screaming windstorms dump five feet of snow in one visit. Why didn't they settle in Carol's neck of the woods? Funny, I never ask myself those questions in the summer. ;) Glad your freezer is full and your heat (or woodstove) is working. After the plow goes home, there's nothing in the world more quietly peaceful than the snow-covered world. Enjoy. (And happy Thanksgiving evening.)

Thank you so much, and the feeling's mutual. Happy Thanksgiving, Adrienne, I'm certainly thankful for you.
