A Real Jobs Bill

Thanks to Pundette for reminding me about this:

NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand wants to spend your money for grocery stores...

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand proposed $1 billion in loans and grants Monday to help build 2,100 grocery stores in areas around the nation that lack access to fresh food.
Under her proposal, the Government would borrow and spend a billion dollars to build supermarkets in places liberal social policies have driven them out of  (like Detroit) and in places liberal policies won't let Wal-Mart build stores to provide choice, affordable food.  read the rest

Folks - this is the first real jobs creation this administration has considered.  Let's give all those street gangs stores to rob and get them off the public dole!  Great idea...

Hahah...I wouldn't even buy a cup of coffee from a gas station in Detroit and I lived there. Screw that noise. I'd drive a city away to do my grocery shopping...

"lack access to fresh food"???

you gotta be pooping me, right!
this ain't a 3rd world country where access to fresh food is a real concern. We're talking about the dang suburbs.

MM - Isn't that a hoot? They consider anyone who lives more than a mile from a grocery store to be in some sort of "no food zone"...
