Be Back Later
******Yesterday while I was holding my little office kitty Erica, I dropped her food bowl. The noise frightened her and she catapulted out of my grasp inflicting three fairly serious gouges in my hand.
******The scratches are not looking very pretty this morning, so I am headed to the doctor for a possible IV drip antibiotic.
******It's not Erica's fault.......really!

I hope you're okay - interesting that this happened after posting on socialized health care....a few years from now, and it would take you four months to get it looked at!
LarryD - I was thinking exactly the same thing and had quite a great conversation with my doc about the whole thing (who would very annoyed to see me typing away right now.) Off to get a hot pack and elevate my hand....
Cats. I know them. Hope you get better soon - Cat Scratch disease - you need the meds.
First and foremost, how are your scratches? I don't see an update posted telling how you're feeling. Second of all, thank you for your comments about my grandmother. You've always had a compassionate understanding about these situations. And finally, a few weeks ago Toby bit by mom...right in the face. She was picking him up when he did not want to be picked up (he's like that) and voiced his disapproval with his little piranha teeth.
She forgave him.
Yes! Cat scratches are a serious matter and no, of course it wasn't Erica's fault. She's so pretty... :-)

geez mom.....you're not sposed to SCARE the poor thing!
