Prepare Yourselves for Socialism
I find it increasingly hard to keep up with the "news" out of Washington. While President Obama flies around the country (what about that little "carbon footprint", Mr. President??) touting fast action on a bill designed to push this country almost completely into socialism, he has quietly taken over the census, putting it under White House control. My first reaction was, "Is this legal?" More correctly we should be asking if this is constitutional. I highly doubt it is and this action should give pause to anyone living in this country. This is nothing more than a Chicago thug style land grab.
I hate making predictions and it is something I do rarely. However, the times I have ventured into that territory, I have never been wrong.
Prediction
*****President Obama will not make it through one term as President without being impeached. I am old enough to remember well the Nixon years. Anything Nixon did pales in comparison to what our current President has done in the first weeks of his term in office. His poll numbers are dropping like a rock as those that voted for him are seeing a side of him they never imagined.
*****-Included in "those that voted for him" are not the 18 year olds who have never held a job. They interviewed one of them on local TV news the other night. His advice? Well, the people that were saving their money were "just wrong." They should be spending their money, even if things cost a bit more - it was the right thing to do! You can't make this stuff up.
*****I believe this President to be mentally unsound. Watching and listening closely since the election has shown us a side of him that only the most astute glimpsed while he was in his glory days of campaigning. He is easily angered, lacks control, and has almost no finesse when dealing with people. He is rude and when he tries to be charming it is by slipping into a "shuck and jive" type of juvenile interaction. That's not the way I wish to see my President behaving.
Update: My hubby is concerned about my statement, "I've never been wrong." My response to him was, "it's the truth."
Well, yes, says he, "but it sounds like hubris."
"But", says I, "it's the truth."
Ok, here's the catch. Remember I said "I rarely make predictions?" It's easy to be right all the time when you seldom back yourself into a corner. Doncha know!?

Me thinks you right
My thoughts on my blog tonight after class
Adrienne, you are wrong, he will complete noy just one full term but another one after that. You will live to see the destruction of democracy in America. I know you dont want to hear this but certain prophecies need to be fulfilled.
Pray pray pray the rosary, pray that you have perseverance and are ready to die a martyr if the time comes.
Adrienne,
I hope you are right, and he is gone sooner then we all anticipated. In the mean time, I will be praying for his conversion.
Brocko is an inner city thug trapped in the body of a Bill Cosby cartoon character.
I couldn't bring myself to listen to his press conference - I like my blood pressure right where it is.
smiley's cheerful, no?
actually I hope you're right...cuz my fear is that he'll be assassinated and become another JFK remembered gloriously while all imperfections are swept under the "don't speak ill of the dead" rug.
well, that's my fear.
I hope you are right too Adrienne.
If he is impeached, who will choose the next POTUS?
I think you're wrong, sadly. The Obama worship I see on the bus, on the street, in my office is so strong that it flies in the face of reason. He'll do 4 years and maybe 4 more or there will be riots in the streets.
