25 Random Things About Me
Numerous folks on Facebook have tagged me with this little task. I decided to do it here in an effort to kill 25 birds with one stone.
- I'm 5'2" tall - which is plenty tall enough. When I was young I got to date the tall guys (6"5" was my tallest) and also the short guys (5'4" was the shortest). What a deal!!
- I play Rock drums and have a 10 piece set
- I love to paint in oils
- I used to teach ballroom dancing
- I grew up in St. Paul, MN (and don't miss the weather one little bit)
- I love being Catholic
- I am an adult with Attention Deficit Disorder - which is really kinda fun (most of the time - sometimes it's the pits)
- I'm very mechanical
- I don't like country music
- I'm Italian (mostly - with a bit of German, English, and French)
- I'm a good swimmer
- and a good ice-skater (Minnesota, remember? We grew up on skates)
- I miss my Mother
- I am most peaceful when I am working in my garden
- I hate a dirty car
- and a messy purse
- I spend waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on the computer
- I don't have any children - and that's ok, except someones going to have to volunteer to care for me in my "older age"
- I love to teach the nuts and bolts of the Catholic faith and I take no prisoners. No sugar coating from this lady. It is what it is!
- I've been in every state of the union except Alaska
- I sell "stuff" on ebay
- I can sleep anywhere on command, so to speak. Kept waiting at the doctors office and bored? Train running through the room? Not a problem. Close eyes and sleep - instantly. Drives hubby crazy. It's the hyper-focus part of ADD.
- I love pretty paper, fountain pens, old postcards, and old letters
- I want to go to Italy
- I love having met so many wonderful people by blogging and Facebook
Awards
Once again I have some awards. I "heart" awards and am always grateful when someone thinks of me.
MightyMom, has a Wonderful Life being married to Subvet, who hangs out at Blowing San#1. Even though Subvet has been seeing me behind MM's back she has allowed me to pick out my own award from her site. Now how's that for being an understanding wife??? Angela must have told her what happened when I didn't get an award. All that crying and grinding of teeth. Not a pretty sight in one my age.
So I picked out the Smile Award (also known by it's other name - the purple award). I chose it in honor of my Mother whose favorite color was purple.
The qualifications to receive the award are:
A. Display a cheerful attitude.
B. Love one another.
C. Make mistakes.
D. Learn from others.
E. Be a positive contributor to the blog world.
F. Love life.
G. Love kids.
And I'm adding Love animals to the list....
The Rules:--I'm breaking all the rules so I don't expect you to follow them either!
I Award this to all my friends that visit me here and on Facebook
****One of these days I plan on giving you all an idea of what it's like to be an adult with ADD. One thing I can tell you is the rate I absorb information on a daily basis is probably not the best thing in the world for me. But, dang, it's fun. It's the hyper-focus part of ADD that others sometimes envy that makes this possible. However, sometimes the focus isn't where it should be. Sigh
****My Google Reader is at 306 right now. I have over 250 blogs and news sites on my reader so in that context, 306 isn't too bad. Thank goodness God blessed me with the ability to read really, really fast. To keep me humble, he made commas and the proper placement thereof, all but impossible for me. And trying to remember the difference between then and than? A struggle!

awwwww :)
love the meme, and your award acceptance speech was perfectly hilarious!! You can take the I heart your blog award too.
I'll look after you too. As long as you will move to Australia or pay for me and my hubby to fly over there.
I want to hear more about your ADD.
Ty of Extreame home makeovers has it, and it seems to actually be a benefit to his work.
I can get hyper focused. But, when it comes to laundry and housework, I'm easily distracted.
God Bless you Adrienne, and love your 25 points listed above.
I love your list!! I didn't know you lived in MN... wow... so you do understand about the cold winters:)
I love that you can play drums.... cool!!!
