Prayer to End Abortion

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.

I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.

I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,

Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.

I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes

A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Ebeth - the purpose of the internet is to get the information out there.

Use it to your hearts content - I don't even care if you credit me (I've gotten much of it from others) or whatever. Links take time..;-)

And to that prayer I would add a petition to God asking for His MUCH-needed help to end abortion.

It's amazing that several of the moms in the home school group I belong to haul their kids out in the bitter cold and march on this day between the State capital and the Cathedral. Incredible faith. Others were fasting and saying a novena. I had bible study and was praying there along with all those in attendance...although some were absent and marching at the Capital! Unfortunately, it was all overshadowed by a mentally disturbed (institutionalized 12 times in five years) man who ran his SUV into the door of the PP on Ford Parkway. Of course, the news trumpeted that for two days and didn't cover much about all those who were marching peacefully. God knows those folks were marching and hopefully He'll have mercy on all of us because of their prayers and the prayers of the rest of us desirous to stop this evil.
