Indeed. Many thanks to this great man who served our country well and kept us safe from harm.

I have little doubt that history will treat him far better than his contemporaries have.

You know, I used to bad mouth Bush in his 1st term, but as I grew in my Faith, I realized what a good job he was doing.

And so it begins........

I watched him at the inauguration - I really do like him - I'll miss him too. I also could be critical of him at times, but I always liked him, and always will.

He may not have been as conservative as I would have preferred, but he was a champion for life, and he worked hard to keep us safe. Godspeed, Mr President.

One thing we can be sure of - he won't be badmouthing the new administration and America like the other former President did. For money. GWB is a man of virtue and class.

Well, this comes as no surprise:

Bush mocked as he arrives on inauguration dais.

Jerks.

Larry D,

No kidding! What a complete lack of dignity and class by the BDS-types in the crowd. What a sad commentary on the Obamistas.

That whole thing with the booing brought tears to my eyes.

We have become so crude, course, and tasteless. It is particularly repugnant when you consider the grace and class of Laura and W. :-(

Coming from Australia...I missed the moment of President Bush leaving and only caught hightlights of the day on TV:) Before turning it off!

I wish President Bush and Mrs. Bush well and thought his speech in Texas was excellent:). He has made mistakes but he never pretended to be a 'messiah.' Just a good man trying his best every day with the load of the world on his shoulders.

I have written my own tribute to him:).

Peace to you:)

Marie :)

First Blair, then Bush. The world is slowly becoming a much safer place. It will take years but at least the process can now begin.

Tom -Come back and tell me that in another year

It sure isn't safe if you're waiting to be born....
