OMGosh!!! I Missed the Winter Solstice

****I thought today was the winter solstice, one of my favorite days of the year. Not only do the days start getting longer but our family has so many wonderful celebrations. But no, it was yesterday, the 21st. Be still my beating heart.
*
****Here's some shots from last years celebration. That's me in black right next to the lady in white (didn't anyone ever tell her about wearing white after labor day?) Notice the rest of us dressed in proper Gaia and sun worshipping colors.

****After chanting and waiting for the sun to set we gathered around a fire and danced our little hearts out. Here I am at last years dance - just a blur of happiness.

****I don't celebrate the summer solstice because who wants the days to get shorter except maybe penguins? I think they mate when the days get shorter which would be a pretty good reason to celebrate.

****One thing we can be sure of (besides not wearing white after Labor Day), is the winter solstice will come again unless Obambi decides to tax it to the point where it picks up stakes and moves to Mars.
