Hmmmmm....

Obama left the door open to the possibility that economic conditions might prompt him to change his tax plan that would give a break to most families but raise taxes on those making more than $250,000 annually.

"I think that the plan that we've put forward is the right one, but obviously over the next several weeks and months, we're going to be continuing to take a look at the data and see what's taking place in the economy as a whole," Obama said.

If his plan was the right one, then why wouldn't it work to help pull the country out of the current economic slump? Obama's backpedaling indicates that he knew all along that his plan wouldn't help the economy at all it -- it would have hurt the economy because of its redistributionist/socialist effect.

Listening to him on the news now in regardes to this. No surprise that things might be changing; now if only he could change his mind about the Freedom of Choice Act.

You know...many of the churches (ours is one of them) requires a certain number of community service hours or projects that equal or exceed Obama's requirements. Many of those kids do this service because they enjoy it or it's a part of their life. The gov't requiring it would sure wreck THAT in a hurry!

Also...when I was in college I worked 2 or 3 jobs, one of which was volunteer. It wasn't 100 hours per year because I was too busy trying to get homework done and working my other jobs trying to PAY for school to get that stuff done.

He's a Harvard grad; he must not have had to work for himself to get himself through school. The man is out of touch with realty and has NO IDEA what real high school and college kids are facing.

Besides...Hitler Youth was a bad idea. Why repeat it?
