adrienne, adrienne -- I pray that you will remember this blog is titled "Adrienne's Catholic Corner".
Please leave the principalities and powers of this world to their master, and get back to the Kingdom of God. You used to do that so well.
Wonderful post Adrienne, thank you for all the very useful links, I for one really do appreciate it.
I know that right now I feel that God is calling me to a bigger picture and that is to get out the truth about President Elect Obama, yes, he is going to be our President and we should pray for his conversion of heart, but we also need to hold him accountable and we must fight for the unborn and for those who don't have a voice.. right now, for me anyways, this is way more important than anything else I could say, I feel such a call to get ready to fight for my faith and for the unborn!!
Tracy - it is people like us who are the voice of the Church and called to defend the word of God!
Irene - I can't think of anything more Catholic (or also catholic - little c) than defending the unborn against death.
You are completely off base with some idea that we should be sticking our heads in the sand. It is views such as yours that have helped get us in this mess we are in.
adrienne, there is more in the CCC than paragraphs 2270-2274.
Please do me the courtesy of not taxing me with "sticking our heads in the sand". I've never said anything in favor of abortion. What I have said consistently is that in order to combat abortion we must trust in God (that is, pray, evangelize, educate, etc.) rather than in man/Mammon (that is, politics, learning, etc.).
