from the combox: Mark in Spokane

"Well, the Left is now trying to destroy Joe the Plummer, so we are getting a picture of exactly how those who dare criticize The One will be treated if the Democrats get complete control of the federal government."

I couldn't have said it better. St John's Valdosta One Unspoken Issue Drives This Election

My thoughts? Glad you asked. Since Roe v Wade is based on "the right to privacy", which is really, really bad law, I've decided to wack my husband. After all, it's "my choice" and, oh yes, I'm going to do it in the bedroom. Got to keep it private, doncha know!

from the combox: Kathleen at the Daily Grotto:

"Too many people out there ( including many Catholics), are drinking heavily from the Obama Kool-aide tank. Instead of licking their lips for more; they should be getting down on their knees and asking for God's forgiveness for supporting a candidate that would so radically oppose the Sanctity of LIFE. Please join in with me also; praying for Life each day until November 4th. "

Trust in God and not in man.

First, thanks for quoting and linking to me! I'm honored!

Second, we absolutely need to pray for our country, and for God's will to be done in this election. This election is important on so many different levels.

Third, while we are fighting the good fight in the political arena, and praying to God for His guidance and protection, we should remember that He is sovereign over all this stuff -- by Him "kings reign and princes rule," as the scriptures say. While we all vote and speak, God is the one who really decides who will govern our country. His choice may be for our edification or for our chastisement, but He decides. This is why prayer is so important, not so much to change God's mind, but to change our own minds to conform more closely to His, and to have our prayers be an opportunity for God's grace to flood into the world.

Mark - you are worthy...and yes, we need to pray for God's will to be done. So very hard for a controlling little old Italian lady to remember. I'm like the LOLcats that say, "you're doing it wrong!"
