If He did, the world would have been burned to a tiny black crispy cinder eons ago.
However, fasting and prayer, Rosaries and Novenas -- and evangelism -- all are good things. They are a whole lot more effective in ending abortion than political activity.

Yes he does punish nations. infact we just have to go back to the bible to see that when the chosen race questioned Him in the desert they had to wander in the wilderness for 40 years that was their punishment.
If we read history correctly and look at the lives of the saints we will see that he has punished many Catholic nations for not being truthful to the faith eg Spain Portugal etc. (Email me and i will send you some articles if needed)
Lastly at Fatima Our Lady said that if Russia is not consecrated, she would spread her errors to the rest world. This is what is happening to USA today the growth and triumph of Socialism.
So what is the antidote - MAss, Fasting and Rosaries.
As a parent God wishes that we all be saved. We are stubborn children, so he punishes us not because he does not love us , he loves us and punishes us so that we turn from our evil ways and chose life.
America is being chastised for the many evils it has committed against God, but it is never too late to repent. GOD STILL LOVES YOU AMERICA PLEASE COME BACK TO HIM
