Evening Devotions
Fr Scott Bailey, C.Ss.R. has a wonderful blog Evening Devotions. It appears that not very many people are taking advantage of this wonderful site. Each day he posts a lesson, an example of the application of the lesson, a prayer, and a practice (now that's a lot of work) and includes beautiful pictures, too.
I borrowed this picture of a lovely holy card from his post of May 8th. If you are like me and are always looking for some inspiration in your prayer life, Evening Devotions should be your last stop of the day.

Thank you Adrienne for promoting "Evening Devotions"
The content of the posts for May is taken from St. Alphonsus Liguori's great work, "The Glories of Mary." The only thing I have added is the practice at the end of each post.
Well - that explains it. I just couldn't figure out how you had the time to be so brilliant. And every day, too:)
I've never visited his blog, but as soon as I'm finished writing this, it will be my next stop.
LOL :-D Oh my, brilliant. Well, my only "brilliance" comes from recognizing that St. Alphonsus' writing is still relavent to us today and wanting to share it. The language can be off-putting to some people but if one can get past that to the essence he teaches us how to become saints. He was the brilliant one. He wrote over 100 books that have been translated into numerous languages and of which there have been thousands of editions. He was a civil and canon lawyer by the age of 16. He was an accomplished artist and musician, served the sick and poor, founded two religious orders (Redemptorists and Redemptoristines), was a bishop, is still considered one of the greatest moral theologians, and lived only for love of God. He is a giant among the saints. He's definitely the brilliant one.
You're right Adrienne - it's a lovely blog.
Hallo Adrienne,
I have had a look at this blog and you are right - it is wonderful, so I have added it to my blog list. I added your blog too because I think your blog is great too!
Cheers
Kirk
PS
Now I just have to work out which picture I shall use as my blogger picture thingy as I don't like being a question mark in a box . . .
Thanks for introducing me to another great blog, Adrienne :-)
